Process Operator - 1st Shift

Maintain a clean workstation and report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Hooks up lines to and from silos for product transfer between departments to prepare for egg white process.
Operates and monitors the reverse osmosis processing system, CIP system, temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
Regularly monitor that the product conforms to quality specifications.
Detects and reports or acts upon any system abnormality to reduce the risk of and damages to the system or product.
Clean pumps, floors and silos.
Operate clean-in-place (CIP) system.
Clean all other equipment as required by company.
Check the chemical concentration to make sure that the concentration is in line to clean all equipment satisfying the requirements set by the company.
Regularly monitor that the product conforms to quality specifications.
Detects and reports or acts upon any system abnormality to reduce the risk of and damages to the system or product.
Prepare, maintain, and thoroughly complete all quality and production documentation following GDP's (Good Documentation Practices) as requested by the company.
Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Adheres to Quality work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained.
Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
Always ensures regulatory compliance.
Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections:
1 year of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing preferred.
1 year of food processing experience preferred.
Forklift and electric pallet jack experience preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in team decision making.
Ability to show initiative, and to work independently without supervision.
Ability to take on responsibility, and complete tasks set through to the end of project completion.
Ability to share and exchange information with others.
